Storytelling, lectures and music is planned on the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend.
• Out Loud Story Slam will be at Olympic Theatre Arts in Sequim tonight. Host Nessa Goldman will emcee the event set for 7 p.m. at the OTA gathering hall, 414 N. Sequim Ave. The theme for the evening is “Head Over Heels.”
Tickets are $15 and are available online at olympic theatrearts.org, at the theatre box office, or at the door, if available, cash and card accepted. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and show starts at 7 p.m.
Everyone is invited to drop their name in the bag to share a five-minute true, personal story on the theme, which can be interpreted as wished.
Storytellers are judged by the audience. Winners will go on to participate in a future Grand Slam. Audience members can also participate anonymously or just enjoy the tales of the evening.

• Luau Cinder will perform funk, reggae and psychedelic rock from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. tonight at Sirens Pub, 823 Water St., Port Townsend. No cover charge.
• “The Next Great Cascadia Earthquake — How Did We Get Here?” will be presented at 4 p.m. Saturday.
Chris Goldfinger will address a meeting of the Quimper Geological Society on Zoom.
Goldfinger, a marine geologist with Oregon State University, will discuss the relationship of offshore turbidites to the paleoseismic record of the Cascadia Subduction Zone.

• Salish Sea Early Music Festival will present “The Biedermeier Serenade (1815-1835)” at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The baroque music concert is in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1020 Jefferson St., Port Townsend. This week’s performers are Oleg Timofeyev, guitar; Lindsey Strand-Polyak, viola; and Jeffrey Cohan, eight-keyed flute.
The suggested donation is $20-25 per person. Youths ages 18 and younger are admitted free.
