SEQUIM — Olympic Theatre Arts is hosting a special “talk back” performance of “Death of a Salesman” on Thursday, with an early curtain time of 6:30 p.m.
The special show will be at the theater at 414 N. Sequim Ave.
Tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for students.
As in past shows such as “Sylvia” and “Bakersfield Mist,” this is a chance to sit down with the actors and some of the production team to find out more about the show — or about live theater in general.
Patrons who choose to participate will reassemble in OTA’s pre-function after the show for usually about a half an hour and chat informally about the performance.
“This is what puts the word ‘community’ in community theater,” said Carol Willis, OTA executive director.
“We have had really great responses to this addition to our programming and I have personally learned a great deal about what makes our actors tick.
“I have also been amazed about what they take away from the experience,” Willis continued.
“I think it is easy to overlook the fact that these performers ‘become’ the characters they are portraying. In the process they learn in a very special way the message that the play brings to stage.”
The beverage bar remains open during the “talk back” and complimentary snacks also will be served.
The play will continue Friday through Sunday.
