Soroptimists’ annual Gala Gift Show set for Saturday

SEQUIM — Soroptimist International of Sequim will host more than 50 vendors at its seventh annual Gala Gift Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The gift show will be at the Sequim unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim. Admission and parking are free.

Vendors will offer clothing, jewelry and accessories, home décor, culinary and food items, health and beauty merchandise, pet products, books, artwork and photography.

This year, for the first time, the Gala Gift Show also will feature a wine garden and live musical performances.

Raffles, soup in the cafe and holiday-wrapped See’s Candies will be available.

The Gala Gift Show is one of the Soroptimists’ major fundraisers; proceeds from the event are used to fund educational grants and to support local organizations and activities committed to “improving the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment,” organizers said.

Organizers urge attendees to come early, as many vendors’ products and home-baked items sell out quickly.

In 2017, more than 800 people attended the one-day event.

For more information and a list of the 2018 vendors, visit the Sequim Soroptimist Gala Gift Show website at galagiftshow.com.
