PORT ANGELES — Soprano soloist Mary DiRoberts will perform at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 7 p.m. Friday.

The concert, hosted by the church, at 301 E Lopez in Port Angeles, is free and open to the public, although donations are welcome. All donations will go to support the Holy Trinity concert series.

DiRoberts will be accompanied by Noah Smith, a local keyboardist and composer.

The two will join forces to perform the works of Clara Schumann, Eva Dell’Acqua, Heitor Villa-Lobos, as well as Calpurnia’s Vision, a new work for voice and organ composed by Smith for the upcoming The Tragedie of Ivlivs Cæsar, which will be produced in Port Angeles.

DiRoberts graduated from Westminster Choir College in 2015 with a bachelor’s in music education and a master’s in teaching. She has performed with several professional choral ensembles as both a choral artist and a soloist.

Performance credits include CONCORA (Connecticut Choral Artists), VOICES 21C, Diamonds from the Dust Professional Vocal Ensemble, the Zelda Symphony Tour and the Wesleyan University’s Ad Hoc Bach, among others.

Smith is director for Music Ministry at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and co-dean of the Peninsula Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

In addition to choral conducting, solo organ, piano and chamber performance, Smith’s compositions feature diverse styles and are written for many combinations of instruments. They will perform the Poulenc organ concerto with the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra in May and will give a fundraiser concert, Bach 2 School, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal in September to benefit the tracker action organ.

This year, Smith and Sarah Tucker will direct and co-produce The Tragedie of Ivlivs Cæsar.
