COYLE — A Portland, Ore., duo will perform bluegrass and country tunes along with some original music at Concerts in the Woods at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Admission to the concert at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road, will be by donation.
Complimentary cookies and coffee will be served at intermission to guests.
Slipshod is made up of Matt Snook, who plays the dobro and banjo, and Steve Blanchard, who plays guitar and mandolin.
They met as part of the Northwest bluegrass community and became picking partners, according to their website at www.slipshodmusic.net, forming Slipshod in 2012.
“They are a popular pair when they come to Coyle,” said series organizer Norm Johnson. They entertain with both music and humor, according to their website.
