Singer-songwriter at Northwind Arts Center on Saturday

PORT TOWNSEND — Northwind Arts Center will join Matt Miner Presents in welcoming singer-songwriter Micaela Kingslight for an evening of music at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Advance tickets are $12 each at Northwind Arts Center or from kingslight northwind.brownpaper tickets.com or $15 at the door, 701 Water St.

“With vocals reminiscent of Fiona Apple, KT Tunstall and Nora Jones, and elegant guitar skills developed over many years performing and teaching, Kingslight can stun a room with a simple melody and blend in with any event or concert,” organizers said.

She has recorded five original albums with various projects, worked as a studio musician, won several songwriting awards and grants, and toured nationally for eight years.

Kingslight moved to Washington in 2015 and quickly fell in love with the Olympic Peninsula and Port Townsend where she currently she teaches guitar, bass, ukulele and mandolin lessons at Crossroads Music and performs throughout the region.

Northwind Arts Center welcomes Matt Miner Presents as a new partner in presenting live acoustic music in Port Townsend.

MMP has been producing intimate concerts in the Portland area for 12 years, specializing in presenting touring artists from across the country and around the world.

More information from Northwind Arts Center can be found by calling 360-379-1086 or emailing song writers@northwindarts.org.
