Sequim hosts digital ‘Youthful Expressions’ exhibit

SEQUIM — Sequim’s City Arts Advisory Commission will host the opening of the “Youthful Expressions,” a digital exhibit, today.

This digital show will open with a “live” video displayed by two monitors through the windows at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.

All are invited to view the art from the screens while safely socially distanced outside.

The exhibit also will be displayed on Sequim’s city website at sequimwa.gov/705/Current-Exhibit.

“Youthful Expressions” will be on display through March 5.

This exhibit asked artists to share their “Youthful Expressions” or perspectives of hope, joy and play found during the pandemic. The jury reviewed works from the public and students from Sequim High School in two separate juries.

Artists represented are Sharon DelaBarre, Lorraine Ford, Marj Franke, Sally Franz, Jeanne Joseph, Ken Kennedy, Marilou Laisnez, Witta Priester, Pamela Raine and Ryoko Toyama.

Student artists represented are Kaitlyn Bloomenrader, Angelina Cooper and Eislynn Flood.

For more information, contact city arts coordinator Aurora Lagattuta at alagattuta@sequimwa.gov or 360-582-2477.
