Sequim Arts Commission opens submissions for high school contest

SEQUIM — The Sequim Arts Commission is accepting submissions for its sixth High Schools of the Olympic Peninsula Arts Exhibit.

The juried art exhibit will be displayed in the Karen Kuznek-Reese Gallery at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St., Feb. 7 to April 21.

Entry is open North Olympic high school students for media including ceramics, stained glass, painting, drawing, metal fabrication, fabric weaving or glass.

Students may submit any art they create during the 2024-2025 school year.

Entries must be submitted electronically at https://form.jotform.com/2428 86920070156 by Jan. 15.

Entries will be juried by the Sequim Arts Commission on Jan. 27, and artists will be notified of their status by Jan. 29. Art must be delivered between Jan. 31 and Feb. 3.

Artists, their teachers and families will be invited to a reception and awards ceremony on Feb. 7.
