Second Saturday Art Walk set for this weekend

PORT ANGELES — Art venues in downtown Port Angeles will be open late Saturday for the Second Saturday Art Walk this weekend.

• Harbor Art Gallery will host a reception for the family of Kevin Willson from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

The reception marks the opening of a retrospective exhibit of Willson’s works at the gallery, 114 N. Laurel St.

Willson, a founding member of Harbor Art Gallery, died in March.

His sculptures will be on display at Harbor Art from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays throughout May.

Willson began as a self-taught sculptor before traveling throughout Europe to learn from master sculptors in Spain, Italy and Switzerland.

Harbor Art Gallery showcases work by local artists Bob Stokes, Cindy Elstrom, Robert Amaral, Garret DeLaBarre, Terri Enck, Katie Graham, Carolyn Guske, Tammy Hall, Susan Kantowitz, Carol Marshall, Nancy McFaul, Gail McLain, Miranda Petruska, Steve Portner, Randy and Sallie Radock, Jodi Riverstone, Nathan Shields, Lance and Haley Snider, Becky Stinnett, Eileen Webb and Andrèa Woods.

• Studio Bob will host a reception for the opening of “Reclamation: A Recycled Materials Art Experience” from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at 118½ E. Front St., Port Angeles.

The exhibit features art made with recycled, salvaged, found and repurposed materials by Christopher Allen, Roger Bogers, Sarah Tucker, Mary Lewis and Brad Griffith.

The reception includes interactive mini-golf, hands-on art projects and activities and live music from Tin Sandwich and guest singers.
