Sculpture auctions to feature works from Johani

CHIMACUM — There will be an arts retrospective and live auction featuring the works of Sara Mall Johani from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The auction will be at Finnriver Farm and Cidery, 124 Center Road, Chimacum.

Admission is $30 person at https://shop.finnriver.com/product/Art-Retrospective-and-Live-Auction.

There will be both a live auction and a silent auction of sculptures by Johani along with a few by her partner Tom Jay, who died in 2019.

Johani, a Chimacum resident for more than 40 years, will be relocating to live with family in Montreal, Quebec.

The auction catalogues can be viewed at www.tomandsara.net. Online bidding will be available on the same site.

Johani will donate 50 percent of the auction’s proceeds to the Watershed Bell and Youth Arts Fund at the Roots of Resilience Project.

The Watershed Wishing Bell is a bronze bell cast by Jay that is now located at Finnriver.

A community potluck will follow the auction at about 6:30 p.m.
