Sasquatch, nature’s bounty theme of Neah Bay Fest

NEAH BAY — “Sasquatch & Nature’s Bounty” is the theme for the Neah Bay Fest on Saturday.

The festival, presented by the Neah Bay Chamber of Commerce, will be in the Makah Community Gym, 1394 Bayview Ave., from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Dinner tickets are $20 at www.neahbaywa.com/shop.htm. Entrees are either game hen or fish dinner.

Pat Neal — a historian, author, fishing guide and Peninsula Daily News columnist (patnealwildlife.net) — will talk about Sasquatch experiences along with Ron Morehead, researcher and author of “The Quantum Bigfoot” (ronmore head.com).

Information on foraging and related topics is planned, along with video testimonies of local Sasquatch encounters, the chamber said on its Facebook Page.

Arts, crafts and small business vendors will sell goods.

Birds of prey will be on display.

Children’s activities will include face painting and miniature drum-making.

A scholarship fundraiser silent auction will go on all day, with winners announced at dinner.

• 10 a.m. — Vendors open.

• 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Children’s activities.

• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Makah National Fish Hatchery tours.

• 11 a.m. — Nature’s Bounty presentation.

• 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. — Birds of prey at Makah Marina.

• 1:30 p.m. — Sasquatch presentation: Pat Neal.

• 2:45 p.m. — Sasquatch presentation: Ron Morehead.

• 5 p.m. — Vendors close.

• 6:30 p.m. — Dinner.

• 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. — Live music by Daniel Spencer.

• 7 p.m. — Open mic.
