‘Rock Around the Clock’ performance set for college

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula College Vocal Ensemble under the direction of Elaine Gardner-Morales will present “Rock Around The Clock,” a popular music review, at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The concert is slated for Maier Performance Hall at Peninsula College, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

The event is free and open to the public.

Joining the college group on stage will be blues guitarist and vocalist Brian Douglas, Terry Smith on drums, Al Harris on keyboard and Elaine Gardner-Morales on bass guitar.

Music selections

Students will sing popular favorites such as “The Weight,” “Aime,” “Come Together,” “Blue Bayou,” as well as Broadway show selections from “Pocahontas,” “Rent,” “La La Land” and group selections including “Don’t You Worry ’Bout A Thing,” “Shallow,” “Fragile” and “What About Us.”

Shae Pozarzycki will perform country selections as will Larissa Pingley.

Peninsula College students singing solos and duets include Robbin Eaves and Patrick Singhose of Joyce, Bee Wilkinson, Pozarzycki, Pingley, Hayley Corbett, Andrea Saxe and Brad Alemeo, of Port Angeles, and Chris Burt and Alondra Franco of Sequim.
