PORT ANGELES — Warplanes will be on display and free airplane rides and a World War II reenactment are planned at Fairchild International Airport from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Free aircraft and helicopter rides will be offered at the Armed Forces & Public Safety Airport Appreciation Day and Fly-In at the airport at 1402 Fairchild Airport Road, Port Angeles.
Youths, from 8 to 17 years old, can get free “Young Eagle” flights from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Military, corporate and private aircraft will be on display. The Friends of Willie and Joe will put on a World War II re-enactment, and the Cascade Warbirds will have plans on display.
Olympic RC (remote control) Modelers will have a demonstration, and groups like the State Patrol and Life Flight Network will have plans to view.
The event includes food and beverage vendors.
