Ready for some magic? Broadway star to perform Sunday

PORT ANGELES — Adam Trent will perform magic at Port Angeles High School at 3 p.m. Sunday.

His show will be in the auditorium at the school at 304 E. Park Ave.

Tickets cost $15 to $35 for adults, depending on seating, with youths 14 and younger admitted for $10. Tickets are available online at www.jffa.org and at Port Book and News in Port Angeles and Joyful Noise Music in Sequim.

As a star of the Broadway show “The Illusionists,” Trent is one of the most in-demand magicians today, according to Dan Maguire, executive director of the Juan de Fuca Foundation, which is presenting the show.

Trent, nicknamed “The Futurist,” has performed more than 250 shows in 19 countries during the past year alone, Maguire said.

US News & World Report magazine identified him as one of “The 10 Most Influential Youths in the Nation.”

“He attracts a new generation of magic fans through his infusion of traditional tricks, daring stunts, amazing lighting, technology, dancing and hilarious comedy,” Maguire said.
