Rainforest Run kicks up its heels for three-day weekend starting today

FORKS — The annual Rainforest Run will gather motorcyclists for a three-day weekend of cycling, music, food and camping today through Sunday.

“Come a day earlier and stay a day later,” says the run’s website at www.rainforestrun.com.

Events throughout the weekend will include the Poker Run, pudding wrestling, a man boob contest and Miss Rainforest Run contest. All are free except the Poker Run.

Free camping will be available at Cycle Camp, 1071 Mora Road, camping grounds exclusively serving the two-wheeled traveler. Cycle Club will serve as the hub for all events.

Live entertainers will include Trinity Mills, Twice Baked, Fat Chance Band and the Jim Basnight Band.

T-shirts for this year’s run and those from years past will be sold Sunday to fund the event.

Registration starts at 10 a.m. today and opens again at 9 a.m. Saturday.

For more information, call Cycle Camp at 360-374-8665.
