‘Rain of Terror’ opens tonight in Forks

FORKS — Forks’ forecast calls for mixed sun and clouds today. But night brings the “Rain of Terror.”

Forks’ haunted house will open for a season of frights at 7 p.m. today at the Quillayute Airport, 5144 Quillayute Road.

The Rain of Terror also will open its hangar doors from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday; Friday, Oct. 20; Saturday, Oct. 21; Friday, Oct. 27; and Saturday, Oct. 28.

On Halloween day Tuesday, Oct. 31, it will be be open from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets at the door cost $10.

The haunted house includes more than 30 rooms, four flights of stairs and dozens of live actors/community volunteers.

Just 30 percent of last year’s participants completed the entire haunted house, according to the Forks Forum.

“At this place every year during fall, the demonic host that inspired unthinkable events long ago re-enacts their deeds, drawing the deranged, the depraved and the delusional to their midst,” according to the haunted house’s promotional video.

“Many come who doubt the stories are true.

“They all die, of course, but not before they bear witness to the gruesome reality… not before being driven insane by its terror.”
