COYLE — An acoustic trio, the Rain City Ramblers, will take the stage in the latest installment of the Concerts in the Woods series.
The concert begins at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road. Admission to the all-ages concert is by donation.
Complimentary cookies and coffee will be provided at intermission.
The Seattle-based trio, composed of Daniel Ullom (mandolin, lead vocals), James Horbett (guitar, vocals) and Forrest Marowitz (bass, harmony vocals), spans several genres — bluegrass, country, jazz, folk, old-time and blues.
“Whichever way you categorize them, they are one of my most favored bands, and I’m so glad to have them back in Coyle this fall,” organizer Norm Johnson said.
The three draw upon the deep well of American roots music to practice their own original songwriting and arrangement, according to a press release.
“Their minimalistic lineup and tight vocal arrangements can captivate people in living rooms, street corners and on stages.”
Their first full-length album, “Hateful Ways,” was released in January.
