LA PUSH — Quileute Days 2017 will celebrate Quileute tribal and cultural heritage with traditional activities scheduled throughout this weekend, including canoe races, stick games, a fish bake and royalty contest.
The competitive 2017 stick games tournament tonight and Saturday morning allows people of all ages to form teams of three to five people.
The entry fee per team costs $150. Registration ends at 6 p.m. Saturday. The first-place prizes include $5,000 and jackets for the team; the second-place prize includes $4,000 and hoodies for the team; the third place prize is $2,000.

Other activities
Other activities include softball games for adults and youth, a kids’ activity zone with a bouncy house and rock wall, a talent show along Main Street, a parade at Quileute Natural Resources and a 5K Family Fun Run.
The co-ed adult softball tournament throughout the weekend costs $300 to compete. The winners receive championship jackets, second place earns hoodies and third place takes home crew necks.
The youth softball tournament for ages 13 and younger doles out the same prizes, but the entry costs $175.

Entertainment
Entertainment options throughout the weekend vary from fireworks at Sand Point to street dancing to a performance by Jones and Fischer Band.
Quileute Days, sponsored by the Quileute Tribe, is a drug and alcohol free event.
