Port Townsend children’s authors set classes, events

PORT TOWNSEND — Several of the children’s authors who live in Port Townsend also offer writing and illustration classes for kids and adults.

Dana Sullivan, for example, will offer an introduction to picture book illustration course Jan. 7 through Feb. 11 at the nonprofit Port Townsend School of the Arts at Fort Worden State Park.

Sullivan will launch his graphic novel, “Dead Max Comix Book One: The Deadening,” at the School of the Arts’ Sherry Grover Gallery, 236 Taylor St., at 6 p.m. Jan. 23.
