PORT LUDLOW — Collage artist Carol Nielsen will be the guest speaker for the November meeting of the Port Ludlow Art League on Wednesday.
The program, The Artistry and Fun of Collage, will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. via Zoom. To receive access to the program, email info@portludlowart.org.
Collage is a technique of pasting various materials on a single surface.
It becomes more complicated when considering how to combine colors, patterns, and shapes into a cohesive composition.
Nielsen uses acrylic paints, stencils, lines, textures and stamps. She also incorporates other handmade papers, acrylic paints and Asemic writing into her collage designs.
She will discuss her approach to creating collage artwork by exploring the process, tools and materials for creating collage art.
She will also explain how to produce personal note cards using collage papers.
