Port Angeles students to stage Grimm ‘Spectaculathon’

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles High School’s Second Stage Theatre presentation of “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon,” written by Don Zolidis, will open at 7 tonight.

Other performances are set in the Port Angeles High School Performing Arts Center, 304 E. Park Ave., at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A 2 p.m. matinee also is scheduled for Sunday.

Tickets may be purchased at the door. Prices are $8 for general admission and $7 for students.

According to a district release, “Snow White,” “Hansel and Gretel,” “Cinderella,” and lesser known tales such as “The Talking Fish,” “The Devil’s Grandmother” and “The Girl Without Hands” are combined into a twisted, action-packed comedy.

Playwright Zolidis adapted some of the 209 stories that Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm recorded in 1812.
