Port Angeles galleries open for Second Saturday Art Walk

PORT ANGELES — Harbor Art Gallery and Studio Bob will stay open late for Second Saturday Art Walk.

Harbor Art Gallery at 114 N. Laurel St.,which is highlighting small works by local artists through December, will be open until 7 p.m. Saturday.

Visitors can meet with members of the artist cooperative that offers work by such local artists as Bob Stokes and Cindy Elstrom, Carolyn Guske, Robert Amaral, Kelly Coffey, Garret Delabarre, Terri Ench, Tammy Hall, David Johannessohn, Susan Kantowitz, Ruth Kaspin, Nancy McFaul, Gail McLain, Roger Mosley, Eric Neurath, Randy and Sallie Radock, Jodi Riverstone, Nathan Shields, Lance and Haley Snider, Eileen Webb and Kevin Willson.

“I love the variety of work that shows up in the gallery,” said Nathan Shields, a local artist.

Harbor Art Gallery is usually open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Studio Bob at 118½ E. Front St. in Port Angeles will feature Freedom of Expression, artwork by Nancy McFaul, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Saturday night will offer live music by Jase Brown and Ted’s Fault.

The event is free and for all ages, with nice dogs welcome and refreshments available for purchase.

McFaul’s work will be featured through November and December at Studio Bob.

Her artwork includes figures and everyday objects in a variety of mediums; charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic and oil and collage.

McFaul studied design in San Francisco and Berkeley, Calif., and moved to Seattle where she raised a family and worked in the family’s small specialty bakery in the Pike Place Market. When she had any time to spare she painted and took classes at Gage Academy of Art. She moved to Port Angeles several years ago.
