Port Angeles Fine Arts Center plans visit of Seattle Arts Museum

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Fine Arts Center will host a trip to the Seattle Arts Museum on April 28.

The center has arranged for a private docent tour of the museum’s current exhibit, “Seeing Nature/Landscape Masterworks,” from the Paul G. Allen Family Collection.

Seats are limited to 13 on the Port Angeles Senior &Community Center bus. Early registration is suggested. Sequim residents can arrange a pickup point with the arts center.

The group will meet at the center at 328 E. Seventh St. at 8:30 a.m., make a possible stop in Sequim for a brief pickup at 9 a.m., then travel to catch the Bainbridge ferry. It will return in the late afternoon.

The cost is $50 for the senior center bus. It is $45 for participants who drive themselves to the ferry. The cost includes museum fees. Lunch is on participants’ own.

The tour size is limited to 30.

This exhibit offers a unique opportunity to see the natural world through the eyes of great artists such as Jan Brueghel, Canaletto, David Hockney, Gustav Klimt, Claude Monet, Georgia O’Keefe, Edouard Manet, Ed Ruscha and J.M.W. Turner, according to organizers.
