Poets featured at Northwind Reading Series

PORT TOWNSEND — The Northwind Reading Series will feature Lorraine Ferra and Sally Green at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The readings will be at the Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St.

The suggested donation is $5. All proceeds will support Northwind Arts Center.

Ferra has been a poet-in-residence through state arts councils across the country. She is a recipient of a Utah State Arts Council Award in poetry and a Westigan Review Award selected by John Haines.

She is the author of two chapbook collections and “Between Darkness & Trust,” a recent MoonPath Press publication.

Green is a poet, printer, book designer and calligrapher.

She is the long-time co-publisher of the award-winning Brooding Heron Press and was a 2017 recipient of an Artist Trust GAP grant.

Her chapbook, “Full Immersion,” appeared from Expedition Press in 2014.

She lives and works on Waldron Island.

Northwind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that sponsors visual, musical and literary art events and education on the Olympic Peninsula.
