Blackberry pie, concerts, plays and art shows are offered this weekend on the North Olympic Peninsula.
• The 2023 Joyce Daze Wild Blackberry Festival on Saturday will feature a Grand Parade, vendors, children’s activities, Slug Races and, of course, wild blackberry pies.
The annual event kicks off at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at the Crescent Grange and lasts until 3:30 p.m. when the button drawing is finished. The Grand Parade is at 1 p.m. Highway 112 is closed for the parade from 12:45 p.m. until about 2 p.m., when the parade ends. A detour will be in place around the back of Joyce General Store.
Blackberry pie sales will open at 10 a.m. in the community on state Highway 112 about 14 miles west of Port Angeles.

• Olympic Cellars Winery Summer Concerts will feature Lady A from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $20 per person at the winery at 255410 U.S. Highway 101, Port Angeles. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Sequim Food Bank.
• The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood continues this weekend at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414N. Sequim Ave., in Sequim.
The play will run through Aug. 13 with shows at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.
Tickets are $20, with students $15.
• Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5: The Musical” will have its final weekend at the Sequim High School’s auditorium, 533 N. Sequim Ave.
Shows are at 7:30 p.m. this evening, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

• Ruby Woods, a selection of Frank Samuelson’s paintings, opens in the downstairs gallery at the Jefferson Museum of Art & History on Saturday.
Hours at the museum at 540 Water St., Port Townsend, are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. the first Saturday of the month.
• Closing Reception “Inspired by Music” is set from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Studio Bob, 118 1/2 E. Front St., in Port Angeles.
Paintings by Jeffrey Tocher, Lynne Roberson and Mike Pace are at the show.

• Janie Cribbs and the T. Rust Band will perform from 5 to 8 tonight at the Port Townsend Brewing Co., 330 10th St., Port Townsend. No cover charge, 21+ venue.
• ‘Outside In’ photographers Kerry Tremain and Brian Goodman will give a free talk at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The show is on view through Aug. 27 at Northwind Art’s Jeanette Best Gallery, 701 Water St., “Outside In” is open daily from noon to 5 p.m. This Saturday, the gallery will stay open till 8 p.m. for Art Walk.

• 18th Garage and Plant Sale hosted by the Sequim Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Saturday.
The annual sale is at 81 Timothy Lane in Sequim.

Wright is a retired army officer and former State Department official who resigned in March 2003 on the eve of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

•North Olympic Peninsula Quilts of Valor will host its Summer Sew Day quilting party from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The annual event is in the American Legion’s Marvin G. Shields Post No. 26, 209 Monroe St.
The public is invited to help sew; no prior quilting experience is necessary. Attendees should bring a sewing machine, if possible. Quilts of Valor will provide fabric, quilt kits, cutting mats, cutters, irons and ironing boards.
Quilts of Valor is a volunteer organization that sews quilts to present to veterans of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard, as well as to current service members.

• Climate forum by Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship’s Climate Action Team is set for 12:15 p.m. Sunday.
The free public forum, “The Use of Natives in our Landscapes, Garden and Food Preparation” will be at 1033 N. Barr Road, Port Angeles.
Sunday’s forum will explore the what native plants are best for pollination, food and medicinal purposes as well as where to buy them and how to plant them.
The presentation is expected to last 45 minutes to an hour and will include time for questions.
