Petals & Pathways Home Garden Tour tickets on sale

SEQUIM — Tickets are on sale for the Petals & Pathways Home Garden Tour set Saturday, June 24.

The self-guided tour from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. will feature seven home gardens in Sequim.

It is sponsored by the Master Gardener Foundation of Clallam County.

Advance tickets are $15.

Tickets will be $20 on tour day.

Features five lots

The tour features five city lots showcasing imaginative gardening in small spaces, said tour chair Karen Mahalick.

It also includes two larger properties with expansive landscaping of unique focal points, rare plant varieties and a unique collection of large garden art, she said.

Hydrangea, grass and sedum collections highlight the tour along with weeping larch, corkscrew willows and Japanese maples. Vegetable beds, berries, grapes and fruit trees are also integral parts of several gardens.

Landscape features vary from drought-tolerant plantings and dry streambeds to modest water features.

Easy touring access

Three of the gardens are located within walking distance of each other, providing easy touring access from one parking location.

Tickets are available from local Master Gardeners and at the WSU Extension Office, Airport Garden Center, Greenhouse Nursery and Port Book and News in Port Angeles, and Over the Fence, Peninsula Nursery, Sunny Farms, Nash’s and Wild Birds Unlimited in Sequim.

They are also available online at brownpaper tickets.com by searching for “2017 Petals & Pathways Garden Tour.”
