Peninsula College 2023 Student Art show winners announced

PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College’s Pirate Union Building Gallery of Art has announced the winners of its 2023 Student Art show.

Best in show and the President’s Merit award went to Lydia L. Morris for the acrylic on canvas painting “Bailadora.”

Other winners are:

• Hannah Hendrickson, first place in 2-D.

• Morgan Lasher, second place in 2-D: “Encore.”

• Sage Eugenia Glover, first place in 3-D.

• Kim Wimer, second place in 3-D: “Taking in the Wind.”

• Madeleine, first place in Photography and Digital Art.

Honorable mention award recipients are Ian Coughran, Lily Doten, Nathalie Lalonde, Sarah Means and Kai Snook.

A juried exhibit of 47 entries is on display from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays at the PUB Gallery of Art on the college’s main campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

The exhibit can also be viewed on the Peninsula College PUB Gallery of Art Facebook page.
