Peninsula Art Friends host inaugural Art Faire

SEQUIM — Peninsula Art Friends, a group of local artists who live and create water-media art in Sequim, invite the public to its inaugural annual Art Faire on Sept. 2-3.

The exhibit will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the Sequim Museum and Art Center.

In addition to the creations of Peninsula Art Friends, the Art Faire also includes work by guest artisans.

A donation from exhibition proceeds will support the Olympic Peninsula Art Association (OPAA) youth scholarship fund.

Peninsula Art Friends brings together a group of water media artists who create fine art using water and paint.

Led by Shirley Rudolf and Connie Drysdale, Peninsula Art Friends members each have a unique way of looking at their world and bring that distinctive perspective to their art.

Peninsula Art Friends have invited local businesses to sponsor the Art Faire through cash and in-kind donations.

Donors will receive recognition at the exhibit and in promotional materials.

The City of Sequim awarded a tourism enhancement grant to the group.
