Pallet Art Workshop set for Saturday

SEQUIM — The Pallet Art Workshop on Saturday is intended to encourage participation in the Irrigation Festival Innovative Arts and Craft’s Innovative Reuse Showcase.

Brenda Root will lead the repurposed craft workshop from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Irrigation Festival Float Barn on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Evergreen Way.

The $10 fee includes workshop materials.

Participants can learn how to create a personalized sign of wood pallet boards, including how to stencil words and other techniques for finishing a sign. Each can select one to three pallet boards for a small, decorated sign.

Registration is required and payment is at the door for the Pallet Art Workshop. To register for the workshop, send an email to info@irrigationfestival.com or call Lynn Horton at 360-808-5623.

The pallet art or other creative repurposed work can be entered into the Innovative Reuse Showcase and Contest set for May 4-6.

Details can be found at http://www.irrigation festival.com/ or by contacting Kelly Jo Hill at 360-461-3950 or JustAskKelly@olypen.com.
