PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College and the PC Foundation will kick off the eighth season of the Maier Hall Concert Series with a 3 p.m. Sunday performance of Pacific Brass.
All performances in the series will take place at Maier Hall on the Port Angeles campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Season ticket prices are $40. General concert admission will be $15 and students will be admitted for $5.

Pacific Brass will perform a wide array of classical music, pops, seasonal fare, show tunes and other genres.
Several members of this quintet are on the faculty of University of Puget Sound. Individually, they hold current or past principal positions with the Vancouver (B.C.) Symphony, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, Bolshoi Ballet, Auburn Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Opera, Eugene Symphony, Tacoma Symphony and Yakima Symphony Orchestra.
The performers also have performed extensively with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Tacoma Symphony, the Opera Company of Boston, Northwest Sinfonietta, Northwest Chamber Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the 5th Avenue Theater and the symphony orchestras of Springfield (Mass.), New Hampshire, Portland (Maine), Rhode Island, Virginia and Mexico City.
Additionally, members have appeared on stage with Ray Charles, Doc Severinsen and The Moody Blues.
Peninsula College and the PC Foundation have also announced the artists and dates for the balance of the Maier Hall Concert Series season:
• Pacific Coast Trio: 7 p.m. Feb. 11 — Another new voice in the Concert Series is the Pacific Coast Trio. A pairing of winds and piano, this threesome performs a generous selection of music from Mozart and Salieri to Bach, and even a 19th-century Fantasy on Themes from Rossini’s “William Tell.”
The trio also performs a wide variety of 20th century works and new commissions with oboe, flute and piano.
This is a unique opportunity to hear this group live, hailing as they do from New York City, Los Angeles and Baton Rouge.
• Anson Ka-lik Sin: 7 p.m. May 15 — Possessing a combination of musical instinct, voicing and technique, pianist Anson Ka-lik Sin has found success in performances and competitions worldwide, according to a press release.
He was first recognized for his debut performance with the Port Townsend Symphony Orchestra at the age of 18 while he was still a student at Peninsula College.
In February 2017, Sin received the silver award in the Manhattan International Young Artists Music Festival Competition leading to an invitation to perform in the Prizewinners Gala Concert at New York Carnegie Hall in July 2017.
Sin has won competitions in Hong Kong, including Winner in 2016 Hong Kong Asia — Pacific Youth Piano Competition, and Hong Kong (Asia) Youth Piano Competition 2015, First Class in the Open Class of 2014 Tchaikovsky and Kabalevsky Piano Competition of 14th Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) Piano Competition.
