PA High School cancels silent auction, talent show benefit

Editor’s Note: As of Friday morning, this event has been canceled. The school district will reschedule it for a future date.

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles High School leadership students will host “Cross My Heart Benefit Talent Show and Silent Auction” tonight with a silent auction at 6 and a talent show at 7.

Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for students.

A wide range of talent from around the Olympic Peninsula will be featured.

This year’s event will benefit Linda Barnett, a school district bus driver and mail carrier for more than 23 years.

Barnett was diagnosed in August 2018 with esophageal cancer and is currently in treatment.

The theme “I Cross My Heart” was developed with Linda, her son (a PAHS senior) and PAHS Leadership students.

Auditions for the talent show were held in January and were open to community members of all ages, as well as PASD students.

For information, contact Patsene Dashiell, communications and community relations coordinator, at pdashiell@portangeles schools.org or 360-565-3703.
