One-woman dance show to be presented Saturday

PORT ANGELES — Palmer Davis will combine comedy and virtuoso dancing in a one-woman show, Suburban Showgirl, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Juan De Fuca Foundation will present the show at the Little Theater on Peninsula College’s Port Angeles campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

General admission tickets are $20; youth 14 and younger pay $10.

The 70-minute show will depict the life of Wendy Walker, a professional dancer “whose perfectly choreographed life is spinning out of control,” according to Davis’ website at www.suburbanshowgirl.com.

Davis plays more than 18 characters with nonstop singing and dancing.

Davis has been in more than a dozen regional musicals and commercials and was a Radio City Rockette.

She has toured with Keith Carradine in the first national tour of Will Rogers Follies and danced on several award shows including the Academy Awards and the Emmys.

Film credits include “Rent,” “What Women Want,” “Dark Streets,” “The New Muppet Movie,” “Where Children Play” and “Trew Calling.”

Ticket outlets are online at jffa.org and at Port Book and News in Port Angeles and Joyful Noise Music in Sequim.
