Olympic Peninsula Authors calling for Anthology writers

SEQUIM — Olympic Peninsula Authors has issued a call for submissions for its 4th annual Anthology.

The contest is for local authors who are now or recently living on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Submissions are due no later than Sept. 20.

This year, submissions should feature distinctions made by a bewildering time like 2020. This might be a story, essay, memoir or poems regarding unexpected detours, survival skills learned or unforeseen changes in the writer and/or others.

Prose submissions should be no longer than 5,000 words (short stories, essays, memoirs); poetry may include several shorter poems or multi-page poems.

All entries should be Word documents, 12 point Times Roman, double spaced with 1-inch margins. Place author name, title and page number at the top of each page. Send entry as an attachment (with a cover letter including contact data and brief bio) to olympicpeninsulaauthors@gmail.com.

There is no fee to enter; however, if a submission is chosen to appear in the anthology, there will be a $35 production fee which includes one free print book. The anthology will be a high-quality, 6-inch by 9-inch paperback as well as available in ebook format.
