‘Nunsense’ to be staged at Olympic Theatre Arts

SEQUIM — Morgan Bartholick will direct a free preview performance of “Nunsense” at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The production will continue with evening performances on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and matinee performances at 2 p.m. Sundays through June 15.

The theatre will host a champagne reception after Friday’s opening-night performance.

The play will be on stage at Olympic Theatre Arts, 414 N. Sequim Ave., Sequim.

Tickets are $18 to $25 per person at www.olympictheatrearts.org or at the box office from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.

“Nunsense,” written by Dan Goggin, is a musical farce about a fundraiser by the Little Sisters of Hoboken to help bury 52 nuns who were accidentally poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God).

The theatre will host a cocktail fundraiser before the June 12 performance at 6 p.m. in the Gathering Hall with live music, charcuterie tables, two drinks, champagne, photo opportunities and chances to win prizes.

Tickets for the fundraiser, which will include the performance at 7:30 p.m., are $100 per person.
