North Olympic Library System to host learning sessions this fall

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will offer Storytime early learning sessions this fall.

Storytime is geared toward children 5 and younger with activities such as talking, reading, playing and singing — all of which have an important role in early childhood development.

Kids and caregivers can listen to books, learn new songs and shake out the wiggles with plenty of movement and fun.

The North Olympic Library System will offer Storytime weekly in Forks, Port Angeles and Sequim and monthly in Clallam Bay.

A full schedule is posted at www.nols.org/storytime.

• Port Angeles Main Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles, will feature:

Storytime Studio from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and recurring on the first Wednesday of each month.

In this program, preschoolers and kindergarteners will explore a picture book, then create art inspired by it.

Family Storytime at 6 p.m. Tuesdays starting Sept. 9.

Baby Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays beginning Sept. 11 and excluding Oct. 9 and Nov. 27 due to library closures.
