NOLS to offer ‘Winter Stories: Hindsight in 2020’ for adults

The North Olympic Library System invites adults to tune in to listen live to “Winter Stories: Hindsight in 2020,” a special radio program set for 6 p.m. Thursday.

Tune in at KSQM 91.5 FM or listen live online at ksqmfm.com/live.

Local storytellers will share their own stories about learning things that only seem obvious with the benefit of hindsight.

Listeners are encouraged to pay careful attention to each story and be ready to participate; between each story, listeners will have the opportunity to call in to answer a trivia question related to the previous story. Correct answers will be entered into a prize drawing, and winners will be announced at the end of the program.

Stories are intended for adult listeners, program organizers say.

Storytellers were recruited and coordinated by the Out Loud Story Slam group.

NOLS branches — in Port Angeles, Sequim, Forks and Clallam Bay — are offering single-serve packets of hot cocoa mix, while supplies last, to pair with the “Winter Stories” program. The library branches offer Cocoa Raccoon from Goodness Tea, a bittersweet hot chocolate.

Get packets of the cocoa during curbside library service, available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Support for this radio program was provided by Friends of the Library groups at all four NOLS locations.
