NOLS book discussion groups continue online for November

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic Library System will continue its book discussion groups online throughout November.

Participants must register at www.nols.org to receive the links to the free Zoom meetings.

• The Second Tuesday Book Discussion Group will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, to discuss “The Girl with the Louding Voice” by Abi Daré.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

In December, the group will discuss “Braiding Sweetgrass” by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

• The Second Saturday Book Discussion Group will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, to discuss “So You Want to Talk About Race” by Ijeoma Oluo.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group will discuss “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman in December.

• The Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group is set to meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, to talk about “The Lost City of the Monkey God: A True Story” by Douglas Preston.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Sequim Library.

The group plans to discuss “The Island of Sea Women” by Lisa See in December.

• The Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, to discuss “The Painter” by Peter Heller.

Paperback copies are available for pickup at the Port Angeles Library.

Its December selection is “The Warmth of Other Suns” by Isabel Wilkerson.

In December, the Novel Conversations and Wednesday Evening groups will meet a week earlier than usual due to the holidays.
