Renaissance music, a Celtic concert, drama painting and sewing are among activities set on the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend.
• Salish Sea Early Music Festival will present “The Four-Part Italian Canzona (1580-1625)” at 2 p.m. Saturday. The annual concert series returns to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1020 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
This week’s performers are Vicki Boeckman, renaissance recorders; Anna Marsh, renaissance bassoon; Lindsey Strand-Polyak, viola; and Jeffrey Cohan, renaissance transverse flute.
The suggested donation is $20-25 per person. Youths 18 and younger are admitted free.
• From Shore to Shore Celtic music concert set for 3 p.m. today in Sequim. Sean Gavin and Johnny B. Connolly will perform at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave.
Tickets are $20 at the door.
The performance, part of Gavin’s From Shore to Shore project, features Gavin on the flute and uilleann pipes and Connolly on the accordion.
• Paint and Sip with BZ Zabora at the Olympic Theatre Arts Center on Sequim is planned from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Veteran art instructor Zabora will lead the painting workshop in the Gathering Hall at the center, 414 N. Sequim Ave. Tickets are $25 and include the class and all art supplies needed, plus snacks. OTA’s bar will be available.
Zabora will walk participants through each step of the designated 8-inch by 10-inch canvas painting.
“Bring a friend, enjoy a glass of wine and tap into your creative side,” organizers said.

• Imagined Reality Improv will take the stage at Olympic Theatre Arts at 7 p.m. Saturday.

“Each performance of Imagined Reality is completely different as they create never-before-seen sketches based on audience suggestions,” organizers said.
The four women and three men in the troupe come from varied walks of life: a scientist, two lawyers, a classical musician, an HR guru, a marketing expert and a teenage student — each bringing something different to the performances.
While all ages are welcome, show content is typically rated around PG-13.
• Quilts of Valor will host its annual sew day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The foundation is sewing in the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road, Chimacum.
A break is planned for a potluck soup and salad lunch.
Attendees who bring sewing machines will be able to join in the quilting. Free quilts may be requested for veterans at www.qovf.org/nominations-awards.
• “Super Bee,” a lecture about how to propogate and pollinate with orchard Mason bees, will be presented at Wild Birds Unlimited from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Jim Ulrich, owner of Knox Cellars Mason Bees, will speak at the business at 275953 U.S. Highway 101.
The $5 suggested donation will benefit Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue.

• Future of oceans series will present Rebecca Mostow discussing “Hybrid in a Haystack: Hybrid beachgrass discovery, description and ecological consequences in the Pacific Northwest” at 3 p.m. Sunday.
Mostow will speak at the chapel on Fort Worden, on Fort Worden Way near W Street. The free lecture is part of the center’s Future of Oceans series.
Mostow, a coast ecologist, is a former AmeriCorps staffer at the Port Townsend Marine Science Center.

• Climate forums begin Sunday with the presentation of the first of the Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship’s Climate Action Team free monthly series.
“Improving Our Home Energy Efficiency” is the topic set for 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the fellowship hall, 1033 N. Barr Road, Port Angeles.
Sunday’s forum will discuss ways to improve the energy efficiency of an existing residence, reduce the use of fossil fuels and move toward using renewable energy sources.

• Concertina Day concert is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Quimper Grange, 1219 Corona Ave. The concert will be followed at 7:30 p.m. by an open jam session; all instruments are welcome.
The suggested donation is $5. Masks must be worn by all attendees, regardless of vaccination status.
The concert to celebrate World Concertina Day will feature such performers as Otto Smith and Rolf Vegdahl; Stefan Puchalski and Roger Pick; Len Feldman and Friends; and a reboot of the Puget Sound Concertina Band. World Concertina Day celebrates the Feb. 6, 1802, birth of Sir Charles Wheatsone, an English physicist who invented the concertina.
