PORT ANGELES — The Juan de Fuca Foundation has postponed the concert by the Small Glories, a pair of Canadian artists slated to perform in Port Angeles on Sunday, but still plans to host a performance by the dance duo Collision of Rhythm on Oct. 10.
“The board is considering all options to have the safest possible event,” JFFA executive director Kyle LeMaire said Wednesday.
The Small Glories were to have been the first performers in the 2021-2022 Season Concerts series. Their show is postponed to 2022, LeMaire said.
He added that he’ll make an announcement in the coming weeks about added safety protocols for next month’s concert by Collision of Rhythm at the Port Angeles High School Performing Arts Center.
The duo, whose show stirs together tap dancing, percussion, rhythmic juggling and music-making on multiple instruments, is also slated to teach a free workshop for a small group of students. High schoolers from Clallam and Jefferson counties will be invited to apply to participate via JFFA.org.
“We’re going ahead,” LeMaire said, adding that he and the board will consider the rest of the season concerts one at a time.
