‘Merry Wives’ to take final bows in Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — The women win out in “The Merry Wives of Windsor,” Key City Public Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park production on stage for the last time this weekend.

The jealousy, trickery and hijinks start at 6 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday at Chetzemoka Park, 900 Jackson St.

A golf cart waits at the gate to transport anyone who needs a lift to the stage area; food and drink, including root beer floats, go on sale at 5 p.m.

Admission is pay-what-you-wish at the park, while advance tickets are available at keycitypublic theatre.org/.

Playgoers are urged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and warm clothes.

In this modern setting of the play, the cast includes Crystal Eisele and Krista Curry as the eponymous wives, Brendan Chambers as Sir John Falstaff and Genevieve Barlow as the wily Mistress Quickly.
