Meowgaritas and Mutts fundraiser to benefit humane society

PORT ANGELES — Olympic Peninsula Humane Society will host its Meowgaritas and Mutts fundraiser on Saturday.

The fundraiser will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles. The Mexican buffet is from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m., then the live auction will start.

Tickets are $75 and can be obtained at ophumanesociety.org/mandm.

This is the first such fundraiser since 2019. All proceeds support the humane society.

Live auction items include a three-night Whistler ski or golf package for two at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, a Victoria travel package that provides two nights at the Empress Hotel, two ferry tickets and two tickets to Buchart Gardens, gourmet dinners, a canoe, a VIP sprint boat package, a helicopter ride over the Olympic Peninsula and many silent auction baskets.

Silent auction packages include Adirondack chairs, wine baskets, stained glass creations and salmon fishing with a well-known guide.

Also planned is a 50/50 raffle.
