PORT TOWNSEND — Portland-based singer-songwriters Jack McMahon and John Bunzow will sing apart and together at The Palindrome on Saturday.
The Rainshadow Recording and Concerts show will start at 7:30 p.m. at The Palindrome at Eaglemount Cidery, 1893 S. Jacob Miller Road in Port Townsend.

While McMahon and Bunzow have been long-time local headliners in and around Portland, each has a unique history far beyond Oregon’s borders.
McMahon has been a performing singer-songwriter for all of his adult life. From his teenage years, as leader of the 1960s New Jersey rock band, The Night Watch, and his early work as a demo singer for Brill Building songwriters, his voice and song-writing brought him to the attention of Columbia and Epic Records, and New York nightclubs where he opened for such rising stars as Bruce Springsteen and Steely Dan, organizers said.
McMahon moved to Portland in the mid 1970s. He has five studio albums to his credit, and a sixth in the works.
Bunzow offers a mix of eclectic musical influences melding blues, country, rock and even jazz.
After beginning his musical career in the Northwest playing in all-original bands for over two decades, he set his sights on songwriter heaven — Nashville — and scored a songwriting contract with EMI Nashville/Famous Music and a recording contract with Liberty/Capitol Records.
Later, he went home to Portland, Ore., where he continues to tour Northwest nightclubs, concert halls, festival stages, casinos, wineries and resorts, playing original cuts from his most recent CDs.
