March to May to perform for Concerts in the Woods

COYLE — March to May, a Seattle-based folk-pop duo, will perform for Concerts in the Woods at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

The concert will take place at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road, which has seating for more than 65 people.

Admission is by donation. Complimentary cookies and coffee are served at intermission to guests.

March to May — Beth Wesche on harp and Darren Guyaz on guitar — is a favorite at the Concerts in the Woods, said concert series organizer Norm Johnson.

They are “known for their talented vocals and distinctive instrumentation on harp and guitar,” Johnson said.

“Their big news this year is they just got back from their first European tour, playing shows in France, Italy and Switzerland. Be prepared for a lovely evening of warm and beautiful voices and strings.”

In 2015, the duo released its debut EP, “The Water’s Edge,” to a sold-out show on a historic steamship, Johnson said.

In 2016, they were one of 12 official showcasing artists (of a 14-state/province region) at the 2016 FAR-West Folk Alliance conference, and their music video, “The Navigator” premiered on The Bluegrass Situation, he said.

They released their debut album, “Through the Night,” in 2017.
