Ludlow Village Players to stage radio play

PORT LUDLOW — The Ludlow Village Players will stage a production of the short version of “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The production will be onstage at the Bay Club, 121 Spinnaker Way, Port Ludlow.

Tickets are available for $20 at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/6458940 or at the door. Proceeds will benefit the players’ scholarship fund.

The play is based on the short story by Philip Van Doren Stern and was adapted from the 1946 Frank Capra film, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” by Joe Landry.

Landry’s adaptation captures the essence of the original film while adding a twist reminiscent of old-time radio broadcasts.

Cast members include Stephen Browning, Glenn Gilbert, Jim Gormly, Christie Lang, Madison Maxwell and Kelly McNees.

Live music will be performed by Mark Alexander, guitar and vocals; Melissa Denny, vocals; Robert McGregor, saxophone; Darrell Plank, piano; and Larry Wischhoefer, harmonica.
