SEQUIM — Olympic Theatre Arts Center will present a Missoula Children’s Theatre production of the Emperor’s New Clothes on Saturday.
Curtains will open at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the theatre at 414 N. Sequim Ave.
Doors will open one hour before showtime.
Entry is by donation.
“OTA is so excited to welcome back youth theatre that we have decided to waive the entrance fee,” organizers said on the theater’s website at www.olympictheatrearts.org.
“We just ask you to donate what you can, anywhere from zero to hero,” the website says.
Tickets and seating are first-come, first-served.
The last time the Missoula Children’s’ Theater was at the Sequim theater was in 2021 when local children put on the play, “Peter and Wendy.”
More than 13 local children — students in grades 2 to 12, — will act in Saturday’s production. Among the roles cast were the Emperor; ManyPenny and the Money Council; the Royal Scholars Roxy and Red; Kings, Queens; Gem and the Royal Jewelers; Boots and the Royal Cobblers; Lid and the Royal Hatters; Stitch and the Royal Tailors; and the Royal Silkworms.
The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup.
Participants of Missoula Children’s Theatre must follow current Olympic Theatre Arts’ COVID-19 policies.
All participants and viewers must show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test (within 72 hours) plus a matching photo ID before being allowed in the theatre.
