Santa Claus, surrounded by Mrs. Claus, left, and Kimberly the Elf, greeted community members of all ages on Saturday under the Tyler Street Plaza tent in downtown Port Townsend. Santa, known at other times of year as Nathan Barnett; Mrs. Claus, aka Cindy Madsen and Kimberly Snow — “that’s my real name” — were part of the Main Street Program’s seasonal activities. “With the holidays, the diet is not going well,” Barnett admitted, “but Mrs. Claus is getting me an exercise program for Christmas.” (Diane Urbani de la Paz/Peninsula Daily News)
