PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Historical Society Museum of Art and History will extend its current exhibits due to popular demand.
Jeanne K. Simmons’s “Photographs, Artifacts and Intimate Works” will remain on display through July 21.
“Feeding Ghosts,” by Tessa Hulls, will continue through July 28.
Simmons’ exhibit includes photographs and three-dimensional pieces that showcase women integrated into natural settings.
Hulls’ exhibit explores the narrative of three generations of Chinese women with themes of love, grief, exile and identity.
The graphic memoir portrays the lives of her grandmother, her mother and herself.
The Museum of Art and History will host a grand opening for two new exhibits in conjunction with the First Saturday Art Walk on Aug. 3.
The museum, located at 540 Water St., is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.
