PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble will perform its Spring Quarter Concert in Maier Hall on Tuesday.

The free concert will be at 7 p.m. at the hall on the Port Angeles Peninsula College campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Robbin Eaves of Joyce will sing tunes associated with Nat King Cole, Michael Bublé and Jackie DeShannon.

The 18-piece Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble will play music by John Coltrane, Kenny Barron, Chick Corea, Grant Green, Eddie Harris and others. Two recent compositions by David P. Jones, Jazz Ensemble conductor, will be featured.

This full jazz big band includes violin, five saxophones, three trumpets, four trombones and rhythm.

Featured are Port Angeles’ Bob Bailey (alto sax), Andy Geiger (tenor sax), Richard “Doc” Thorson (tenor sax), Joel Ricci (trumpet), Jordan Nicolas (trumpet), WesLee Laughman (trumpet), Clare Wegener (baritone horn), Ron Daylo (trombone), Tyler Benedict (bass trombone), Olga Palenga (piano) and Jones (keyboards/director).
