Improv, end of ‘Invisible Neighbors’ show at Studio Bob

PORT ANGELES — IWANT — Improv Without A Net Troupe — will perform at Studio Bob just after the closing reception for “Invisible Neighbors,” a series of paintings of unhoused people.

The reception will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Studio Bob, 118½ E. Front St. The improv will begin at 7 p.m. that evening at the studio.

Saturday’s reception will be the last chance to see the show by Daniel Miller again or catch it before it is on to the next show.

Comments may be written in the Comment Book and donations may be made via Paypal and Daniel Miller to the Salvation Army at daniel syzygy7@gmail.com.

Miller moved to Port Angeles from Las Vegas, Nev., about four years ago. His paintings are of homeless people in the Las Vegas area, he said.

Here are some of the comments expressed in the book for the show:

• “Absolutely essential and beautifully presented.”

• “Daniel is not only a talented artist, his work reveals his awesome nature for caring for others.”

• “So many feelings. I know about homelessness personally. My piece I bought took my breath away. Thank you.”

• “Fantastic work. Beautiful painting of real people in hard circumstances.”

Doors will open again Saturday at 6:30 p.m. for the 7 p.m. improv games with troupe members Mark Valentine, Cat White, Tom Shindler, Ingrid Henkel, Shaina Rajala, Emma Siler, Matty Gieseke, Kailey, Droz and Sarah Tucker.

Tickets are $10 for those 13 and older. They are available at https://checkout.square.site/merchant/MLCKKEJ3MEVKX/checkout/7DMHPDGMOYZCSGW3WPH44DM4 or by visiting www.studio bob.art.

Based on the instructional guide of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” the troupe has been busy honing their skills since the last popular show, organizers said.
