Taco Tuesday

PORT ANGELES — Fairview Grange will host an all-you-can-eat taco dinner at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Admission is $10; children younger than 12 years old will be admitted free.

The fundraising dinner will be in the grange hall at 161 Lake Farm Road.

The meal will be followed by a Chinese dessert auction at approximately 6 p.m.

Proceeds will benefit the Grange’s building repair fund.

Humanities lecture

PORT ANGELES — Amy Peloff will present “Should I Still Watch This Show? Pop Culture in the #MeToo Era” at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The Humanities Washington lecturer will speak at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

Peloff, an affiliate assistant professor of gender, women and sexuality studies at the University of Washington, will explore the cultural and economic issues that arise from consuming entertainment created by people whose behavior may be questionable, distasteful or even criminal.

Diabetes group

PORT ANGELES — Terese Wallace, dietician and certified diabetic educator, will present “All about Insulin” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Wallace will speak at a monthly diabetic support group meeting in the Seasons Cafe, Olympic Memorial Hospital, 939 Caroline St.

The group’s meetings are free and open to the public.

Senior dance

PORT ANGELES — Cat’s Meow will perform for a swing dance from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The dance will be in the Port Angeles Senior and Community Center, 328 E. Seventh St.

Refreshments will be served from 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 per person; first-time attendees are admitted free.

Peter Pan

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Community Players production of “Peter Pan and Wendy” will continue with a performance at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The play is performed at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

The production runs through March 8 with performances at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Tickets for the midweek performances are $8 at the door.

SEQUIM

Book discussion

SEQUIM — Judi White will lead a discussion on the book “The Seabird’s Cry: The Lives and Loves of the Planet’s Great Ocean Voyagers” by Adam Nicholson from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The free discussion group will meet in the Dungeness River Audubon Center at Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road.

In March the group will discuss “A Season on the Wind: Inside the World of Spring Migration” by Kenn Kaufmann.

Mothersong

PORT HADLOCK — The Jefferson County Library will host Mothersong from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The free program is offered in the library’s Humphrey Room at 620 Cedar Ave.

Mothersong is a multicultural sing-along for families with babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

Adults should plan to stay and to engage with their children.
